Almost all of the innovations from the last thirty years came from places with low regulations... Taiwan, America, South Korea, Japan, etc. America had by far the most advances.

Europe is too over regulated to produce anything meaningful. The overhead and red tape just drown most entrepreneurs.

Regulation is what enables production by setting clear ground rules.
The alternative is executive caprice and we're all seeing that play out right now.
Regulation destroys innovation. Regulation at its very best MAY constrain excesses, but it never produces anything.
