Manifest v3 was introduced in 2018. By the time v2 is deprecated (if it ever happens), the transition will have spanned three US presidential administrations.
MV3 is still buggy and incomplete. Up until 2022 basic stuff like i18n wasn't even working.
Asking as a browser contributor, what do you feel is missing from MV3?
