I can't stand living with people who leave dishes in the sink! If you don't want to wash them at this moment I don't mind, just pile them on the counter so the blocked sink doesn't prevent anyone else from washing their dishes without washing yours first.

Personally for me, my favorite system is just using 1 bowl, 1 plate, and 1 cup and just leaving them permanently in the dry rack. I have a "daddy bowl", "daddy cup" etc. I wash after each use, or if I forget, I can easily catch up as never more than 3 dirty dishes can ever accumulate (from my personal use).
