I'd say it isn't. As you said, most of the problems are minor. Some of the performance assumptions are false. Very little of this seems to be of any consequence.

Agreed. I was expecting a critique of the library API. JavaScript APIs (including, especially, the browser APIs) have a long history of being overly-verbose, and designed as if it was Java.

Has anyone used the closure library API enough to comment?
