One step closer to the day when we can "download" a map of a location and intuitively know where things are.

Would this mapping apply to other spatial applications? Does the brain work similarly when interacting with a physical, 3-dimensional puzzle, for instance?

Neat! I could practically imagine those cells working like a bloom filter for more complex positioning.
