Really smart that they used a card as a sizing gauge. Reminds me of geologists and their putting pennies in pictures as a reference.

Yes, I love the fact that video containing picture of my ID/drivers license/credit card is uploaded to their cloud server .....

That's what makes it better than the Warby Parker virtual try on. There you were missing the right scale for the glasses.

Warby has an ocular distance measurement but I don't think it's a "virtual try on".

Yes, although it isn't very good. You just upload a photo, and they show you wearing the glasses. As I mentioned, the problem is scale. The glasses seem too big on my picture, since I must be larger than they think.

Cards have different sizes though. I think a one dollar bill might be better for this.

Why not any of these types of objects, coins, notes, cards, a ruler? Most are easy to recognize.

No, not at all. I'd be hard pressed to get a hold of one where I lived in Sweden. Yes, I could go to the bank and get $20 or $100. I have a stack of standard sized cards in my pocket.

Well you'd also be hard-pressed to get ahold of a can of Coke in North Korea but it's still "something international" ;)

Internationality of bill comes from it's usefulness for savings. So 100$ is international, and 1$ is not

I think cards usually have the same size unless it's a business card.

I guess they make you select the type of card you're using, which gives them the known standard dimensions.

You could still trick the system into thinking you have a tiny head by using a tablet sized rectangular object.
