I like to play around with WebGL for prototyping ideas, but it be the second coming of VRML if it doesn't improve.

Every time I see a WebGL site, my NVIDIA card jumps to full usage, followed by increase of CPU usage across all cores.

For real OpenGL stuff, native is the way to go.
