In a very meta twist, your comment reads with a slight undertone of "engineers are the only smart ones."

Engineers might end up with the keys to the servers, but many problems (and solutions to them) are not very technical. Things like the copy on landing pages, or customer support workflow, and many other problems businesses can face are only technical in that at one point an engineer will do something.

But it's not just engineers that have this problem. Designers can get them, marketers can get them , etc. Any opportunity for there to be cognitive dissonance will be exploited by Murphy's Law to make people's lives like this
