This is easy to discredit. We have rules that prevent us from clubbing each other on the head and taking what we can from the corpse. By your reasoning, getting rid of this rule would increase growth and lead to greater prosperity. But most people would disagree.

This sort of reasoning is always code for "my favored set of rules is better."
