He's this decade's Ulrich Drepper.

Drepper is a very nice and intelligent guy. I liked his recent foss.in talks:

Drepper may be intelligent, but I don't think I would put him into my "nice guy" list.

Drepper's personality is not reflected by the way he handled bug reports. He is most definitely not a "nice guy".
