Instead of a sarcastic swipe, you could try making an actual argument and tell me how I would personally be affected.

Most clothes, food, medicine, every bit of plastic you own, the tools used to make your heat pump, the rebar in your apartment walls, etc. none of this exists without fossil fuel, or at least not at this price/scale

You are not wrong, but there is no reason to assume that things can't change. A heat pump irrespective of the material it's made of will be better than a gas heater over its life.

No reason to assume that we can change either. 99.99% of progress we enjoy today came from burning non renewable shit, if you think we can change paradigm while keeping all our cheap convenience and technologies I think you're making a bigger bet than I am
