I’ve been a TiVo holdout because it is a great for OTA and can stream recordings to mobile devices, even over the internet. It really just works.
That said, I paid for a lifetime subscription for a specific feature set. I’m sure there terms allow them to turn it into a brick without having to compensate me. They seem to want to get rid of their non-corporate customers anyway, so maybe this is how they do it.
