This is completely useless for video game map blockout. You need collisions for level blockout, which this does not provide. It makes gaussian splats, not geometry.
Furthermore, AI can be used to generate 3D primitives from Gaussian splats and point clouds. Sure, it would require an intermediary stage should the Atlas team not build it into a first-class offering, but the process is not exactly untenable.
