I get the idea, but it was probably unrealistic to expect that Hoyerswerda would become a pilgrimage location for geeks. It is a real periphery from the point of view of DE, CZ and PL alike, and the museum didn't really do much to let itself known either. 30 thousand visitors yearly is 100 daily, that is quite a lot. You'd need to be known around the entire Central Europe to hope to reach such numbers.
I like exhibitions of this sort and I might have taken the 500 km long trip to see Zuse's museum, if I knew about it. I am only learning now.
The bulk of Polish population is concentrated elsewhere and the closest big cities (Szczecin, Poznan, Wroclaw) are all more than 200 km away. Warsaw or Upper Silesia, with its masses of people, twice as far.

From the point of view of PL it is now perfect. Directly connected by Eurocity train but only since a year or so.
