Comment on The law won't save us from Meta's 'pervert glasses' The only solution is mockery

Comments

Why is it only perverted when we film each other? Not when those black dome cameras film us at a store or restaurant or a flock camera films us on the road?

It's all perverted. I grew up in a world that worked without it. Suddenly some perverts see it as a necessity.

They're both pervert cameras. This is not mutually exclusive.

The need for surveillance capitalism is a perversion of privacy which has been previously tolerated because the scope of their encroachment was in the context of closed circuit recording that don't persist long.

Pervert glasses are awful because their scope is greatly increased, with no localization of tolerated behavior.

No one wants to be filmed.

“Need”?

Not that surveillance capitalism is needed by society, but that surveillance capitalism needs privacy violations in order to thrive.
