AI chat bots can convert PDF to Excel files, but they’re slower and more expensive. I have a feeling a lot of users are using free tier AI chatbots to do their conversions.
I’ve considered this, but gosh does it make me nervous to potentially put that info into training sets. Instead I’ve left that task to local LLMs.

There is no moat. You can vibecode an app that does this conversion in 30 minutes and never need to upload it to a AI again.
I'm not saying this right or wrong, but it is what a tech savy (e.g HN audience) has and will be doing. '
Perhaps we aren't the market for this webapp but I don't really the value it in post 2025
