Perfect is the enemy of good.

I think the Ocean Cleanup has been one of the most effective (non- political/commercial) PR campaigns of the last decade.

Sure, it was an excellent PR campaign, but did it actually achieve something as well or could the same money have gotten a better outcome if it had been applied more effectively?

Is there meaningfully less plastic waste in the oceans now?

Less than there otherwise would have been, for sure.
