Recently, I took an intercontinental flight, and the plane had complimentary Starlink internet and Live TV channels throughout the whole journey for all cabin classes.

I know the technology has been around for a while but watching a World Cup game in real-time whilst soaring at 1000kmh/35,000ft over the Arabian desert sounds like science fiction decades ago.

That's just one small example. I think that the hedonic treadmill is hitting people at a much higher rate than before.
