I don't think "this feels true because it agrees with my personal biases" is a particularly great way to evaluate things.

Better to be honest with ourselves, acknowledging the potential harm of a particular activity, while deciding to still do it because it makes your life better and you've decided the trade off is worth it.

I find evaluating things that agree with my biases also agrees with my biases towards evaluation.

And, on balance, it tends to be more positive than negative.

So Win-Win!!
