It wouldn’t be difficult for someone to put one of those on each side of the monitor or monitors that their employer provides and put them in a desk drawer at the end of the day to minimise risk.

In a decade of working in IT I’ve never seen a broken monitor in any of the offices. I think the risk is vastly overestimated by the author
