Comment on Sony BMG copy protection rootkit scandal from 2005

I don't claim this is something to be proud of, but from that scandal to this day, I buy nothing from Sony, and neither does my company. Trust counts.

Good for you - you avoided having any purchased movies deleted from your playstation.

I also haven't bought anything from Sony since then. I used to have a walkman, stereo etc from them. Customer lost and I've gone out of my way to steer others away from them. This scandal really showed what Sony thought of their customers, and it holds true to this day.

If I could I avoided sony and steered a number of other people away from them ... it was a good call [1]

I'm the same.

Also goes for the Foo Fighters (their album in your honor had this DRM). Dave Grohl and his minions can kiss my entire unwashed ass on a hot day.

I do the same. Not out of pride but basic morals.

Same here.
