Comment on Ask HN: Semi lucrative careers after tech?

Comments

3 years ago we started a small regen farm focusing on pastured poultry. Started with 150 laying hens, this year we have 1000. Also raising pastured broilers on the side. I’m still freelancing but plan is to become fulltime farmer next year.

Poultry is a good business but definetly not an easy one. Learning curve is steep, days are long some times, but I feel like completely different person after day of farm chores compared to yelling at LLM’s.

Not to be inflammatory but doesnt putting the male chicks thru a shredder kinda mess you up or is that thing?

Yah I’m a vegetarian so this one probably isn’t my cup of tea
