Rights matter because they're a concept that people enforce with violence, such as refusing to critically engage in things marginalized people say are issues, like how rights are really just privileges given to us by governments.

No, rights matter because they are universally agreed upon by all nations who are signatories to the UDHR and they specifically do not depend on government.

I'm not surprised this point isn't obvious to you, given your position that "violence is necessary".
