Comment on Debunk the myth of "China thinks in centuries, US thinks in quarterly earnings."

Short tenures for Chinese local gov leaders make it difficult to do long-term projects. And US companies—even public ones—are very capable of long-term investment bets, including arguably the current AI capex boom.

What do these two have to do with each other? How does comparing a government official to a corporation work? Or does this person believe the US is an oligarchy and has no government (might be true these days?)
