Besides, from a technical point of view the new open models seem to be where most leaps are being made so even if you don't use them it is good to keep an eye on them.

you can't say they're state of the art if we know that there are better models that they're not allowed to release to the public
thats independtly verified and not just a gold spraypaint on bloated models that are indifferentialable from open weights.
