I got excited by the headline, but turns out it's just Codex using CLI tools to flash a ROM and do some troubleshooting using adb and fastboot. A big time saver, no doubt, but I was excited by the possibility of it was building a ROM and working through the bugs of the process. There have been a few headlines, the last couple of months of people reverse engineering different things using AI tools. I wonder how far away that is for Android ROMs.
