In this case it seems plausible that the military would have an outdated database, and that an LLM would have "known" it wasn't a base anymore,

Ah, yes, because an LLM has never made a mistake ever. It certainly could not have made a mistake. No way.

Also, all databases are perfect. It certainly couldn't have been fed conflicting info. No way.

You don't know what plausible means.
