Small note, saying "common people" in this way comes off at best anachronistic, at worst a little stuck up. Like a benevolent lord considering the feeble minds of the peasantry.
Commonality stresses something qualitative, rather than quantitative or statistical, which is probably what you meant. Just say "most"!
