If EU chat control passes, what will protect financial people?
longer title: if EU chat control pasess, how financial people and executives will be able to to protect financial information communication ? what am I thinking wrong? 3rd party will be able to see IPOs early and revenue data early and way more? that information always worth billions and encryption in chat will be forbidden?

Same thing that does now, trust.
The proposal is for the platforms to implement measures to scan for harmful material on devices.
The platforms already control the code you are running and have access to the decrypted communication in your devices.
You trust them to not extract it and use it against you. The same will be true either way.
The real danger is that the harmful material can suddenly be redefined to include things we now consider lawful like political dissent.
