If Google had more inspired leadership, it would accept the colossal revenue hit of replacing the search box on their home page with the Gemini chat interface.

That sounds like a bad idea. They are making the change gradually by adding AI responses. Seems safer and more friendly to existing users.

Also, Google has maybe the best AI in the world, plus a huge existing business. Why wouldn't it beat ChatGPT?
