So I guess that, in the case where you both need to worry about fixing invalid data, and also need to do historical queries, you would have to add your own timestamp to the data to represent the actual time of the event, because the built-in timestamp is just giving you the time of the state of the database. Hopefully that wouldn't get too hairy.
