The more experienced I become in my software career the more it appears this is the greatest single limiting factor in software employment. It’s the inclination of thinking only in terms of one’s self, like narcissism. It’s so much more ubiquitous and prevalent than just a personality deficit of a few participants, particularly compared to most other segments of employment.
