And going in a circle is fine. If you do arrive back where you started, you’re a different person because of the experiences you had along the way.

Very much true, but your experience carries you up a level, so it's really an upward spiral.

I like to imagine that the sun is hurtling around the galactic center so the Earth is tracing a spiral around that giant black hole out here in the near-emptiness of the outer rings of our Milky Way.
