"three comma club", your money not only insulates you from the legal consequences of what would be considered "wrongdoing", it also spawns a gravity-distortion field that can bend the entire system to your will. The laws effectively won't apply to you, and what normally counts as "check and balances" become moot.
It's not. But the "checks and balances" have decided they aren't interested in being checks and balances. Doing their job as the Constitution intended would get them primaried by someone backed by Elon's money, and there's nothing worse than losing their nice cushy prestigious job in the Senate.

OTOH it could be ratified by Congress because fundamentally President is just delegating day to day executive management. Impossible to tell with current makeup of government what will happen.
I'm guessing it falls into some category of government agencies hiring contractors which probably happens all the time. If this is a problem then it follows that all the other instances of government hiring people who nobody voted for would also be a problem... which is why we should all want less of it, and that's supposedly what Doge is attempting to do.

So in many respects, it should be called a dark cabal since at the rational conclusion of their efforts it will be a death cult.
