Excited to read this article. I clicked. It loaded. White background. I closed immediately because it isn’t on a dark mode and hurt my eyes. Maybe I’m to old (30’s) with poor eyes or maybe I’m cranky.
You should look into Firefox with the extension Dark Reader, it results in 99.95%* of the web being readable once more without relying on web devs to offer dark mode.
*with the odd exception.

Edit: Ahhhhhhh I'm blind!! HN is bright white without the extension. How are you even here?!
