Snake oil salesmen are a feature of humanity. There always were/are/will-be unscrupulous persons who will make exaggerated claims in order to sell some mediocre product. Then there also are a lot of people who prefer to believe in too good to be true claims.
I appreciate HN critiques, fact-checking, etc of overblown claims. However, it behoves decision-makers to verify claims and to proceed with caution. Being cynical and paranoid are essential survival mechanisms. Nothing will save the gullible.
