Yes, there's a lot of absolute junk Kool-Aid all over X/Twitter and we're definitely in a hype bubble, but the point remains that the interface with the computer is about to change dramatically, and worrying about what items appear in a menu and how to move files between applications is going to look pretty quaint in a few years time.

I feel like I've been hearing this every few years for a while now and it never arrives. Meanwhile desktop software usability keeps getting worse. It feels like the IT equivalent of the hyperloop: "Why bother building infrastructure when the next gadgetbahn[1] will arrive any day now and solve all our transportation problems?"
