Comment on Lumen Orbit Data Centers in Space

Comments

"We're going to put compute for AI and crypto in space" sounds like catnip for VCs. They make some big assumptions about infra and launch costs going down. Not to mention the proposed city-sized radiators for cooling. We've also learned that space is an absolutely hostile environment for computers, even with radiation shielding. I just don't see the feasibility here vs a legacy terrestrial data center.
