I don’t think that is a believable stance anymore.

Social media does not make people say or do stupid, offensive or unlawful things. People do them and social media makes it easier to find what they say.

I think a major cost to the police in future decades will be finding people who just threatened to kill stranger and caution them. It’s all Part of “this is the society we want to live in” cost
