To me, it seemed like he did mostly believe what he said in his rants. He is only backing away from the ZSFA persona, not the things he said during his ZSFA tenure. As someone who's done time as a troll, I can verify that the persona can get pretty constrictive, even if there is a core of truth in everything you type.
