Agreed, but when it waa introduced, their dramatic presentation leading up to pricing and availability, I had it pegged at $7000 as an order of magnitude.

I think the front-facing display is adding expense for something difficult to understand. Maybe it really makes a difference in the usage of this thing; the approximation of transparent ski goggles is a big statement of how they want this to add to experiencing an environment, rather than just more isolation.

The whole device is an uncanny, expensive hack. In 2024. At some point they have to get it out there. Battery pack and all.
