It always surprises me that more people haven't heard of Aniara (2018) [1][2].
I get it's not the kind of movie that appeals to mass tastes: it's admittedly bleak and a slow burn, and requires subtitles if you don't speak French. Still, when I recommend it to people who I think would like it, no one's even heard of it.
There are reasons to recommend it. It's tense, has decent production values, and I liked the characters and themes. With a 106 minute runtime it tells the story it wants to tell without out-staying its welcome.
If you're interested in something different, you could do worse than giving it a look.
