I spent some time as an undergrad working for Dr. Joshua M. Pearce in his "Michigan Tech's Open Sustainability Technology (MOST) Lab", where I was engrossed in the world of open-source (hardware and software) and using it for the betterment of research, the world, etc. We would publish loads of stuff we built on Appropedia. There is really quite a lot of neat stuff on that wiki, and since I was reminded of it the other day I thought I would share!
