As someone working in this area, it's interesting how LLMs have been focused on as the reason the UK has "lagged behind" in the AI race. What are peoples opinions? Though LLMs have an important place, there are numerous other AI fields that are progressing through UK research and I sometimes feel we massively oversimplify things by measuring the industry purely against the leading edge of the "AI arms race"...
