Comment on Ask HN: Whatever Happened to Genetic Algorithms?parent

Comments

An in depth analysis I had once read (no references) described the three components further as each having dozens of fragments which through permutation reconfigured themselves.

The complete system, of which no single implementation existed was composed of an elaborate tool chain which continually varied.

Maybe not genetic algorithms in the fullest sense (it wasn't randomly self developing, rather capable of complex reconstruction.)

I do wish I had better notes, the read was excellent and pointed to the combined works of some sophisticated intelligence organization.
