JavaScript is a poorly designed language. It's still around because it has the browser monopoly(yes, thank god for HTMLX and WASM).
You should avoid Ruby(terrible language, Aka Perl 2.0), Java(use Kotlin or Scala if you really need JVM). C# should only be used if .NET is a must in your project.
