What do you mean by "opaque algorithmic views". Totally understand avoiding ads, but don't understand why that'd be a bad thing.

Probably not the best language there, but what it means is that bookmarks and tasks are shown using chronological or alphabetical orders. They aren't designed to hide or show content using attention-seeking algorithms.

Probably the best analogy is old-Twitter (purely chronological timeline) vs new-Twitter/X (attention-grabbing algorthm designed to drive engagement).
