I would love to see the metrics since the rebrand. It sure seems like the renaming itself was a fatal blow, since talking about Twitter is now awkward we’re less likely to talk about it.

It’s hard to imagine he’d really light so much money on fire, but I have to wonder if Elon is killing Twitter on purpose and just has to not be too obvious about it since he got a bunch of other people to help foot the bill. I think Twitter mobs have been quite bad for the media and society, so I’m not sad to see them disappear.
