Comment on Ask HN: What are some well-designed websites?

I'll throw https://www.gov.uk/ into the ring here. Heard it's one of the best designed websites for disabled accessibility.

Nah.

It was very easy to find wills for my deceased relatives however in trying to set up an account to see my national insurance record it wants a UK postcode that I do not have since I have lived abroad for many years.

Great individual pages, but I'm not convinced the site's great. Not the best possible IA, IMO. Probably a bit of Conway's Law creeping in.

Probably the best investment by the gov that's paying off in spades.
