It's hard to say. If you asked people this question in 2011-2016, almost all of their guesses would be wrong.
I think it's safe to assume there will be a market for both remote and in-office work. Pre-pandemic I was doing remote jobs, and now post RTO I'm still remote. FAANG and F500 workers are at the mercy of their management, but I don't trust those trends to reflect the "future of work" or what have you.
